The
Store Front
This was a cool place to have a book signing. The store took up the entire second floor of the mini-mall. The only part about this book signing that I regret was not having the opportunity to explore the entire store. I plan to remedy that oversight on November 22nd when I attend the Book Fair. |

My Crew
My wife, Min Merritt, was feeling better at the last minute, so I took her along with me to this signing. She was a little overly-excited by the time we got there though. Can you see that she's as white as a ghost? We were stuck in traffic on I-75 for an hour, and the only way to make it on time was to give my Z-28 a little gas once we were on open road again. (Did you ever hear the song, "I Can't Drive Fifty-Five?" Well, add another hundred... ) |

The Rahman family
wanted a signed copy of the best science fiction book on the planet.
You know . . . it just so happened that I could accommodate them. :) |

Chuck caught my attention with the bat on his shirt. I asked him if he liked to read science fiction and he said he did. Sooo... |

Most people didn't
want their pictures taken today, but Nancy was different. She
agreed as long as we put Stellaluna in the picture.
Nancy turned out to be one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of talking to in a long time. It might have cost me a few sales, but we must have sat down and talked for twenty minutes. Thanks, Nancy. If everybody were like you, this world would be a much better place. |

Debbie turned out to
be about the most efficient Community Relations Manager I've dealt with
in a long time. This fine lady really knows her stuff, and she
goes that extra mile to make authors feel right at home during a book
signing.
Debbie, you're the greatest. Don't ever change. |
